Courses and presentations

 
 

After a number of successful talks and tuition opportunities I have been requested to publicise my services further.


I have recently been able to provide a series of courses on the art of beekeeping for beginners, this will further expand into specific courses of half day duration on topics such as Queen rearing, Artificial Swarming, harvesting and preparing honey related products, effective management and disease control, improved production from hives and The Art of Showing.


The 2012 spring introduction to beekeeping courses will be run at The Hive RAF Cranwell on the  - 14, 21st April or 5th May for a full day course, which provides the theory required to allow anyone to begin beekeeping safely, please choose either day  - times for the full day will bee 0930- 1630. Practical sessions can be provided on an individual basis, please contact me for details. Places are limited to ensure quality.


I will be also delivering courses at both the National trust Property at Belton House on the following dates

The course will cover a full foundation of theory to allow anyone new to beekeeping to go straight into the active season and be able to understand what is happening throughout the season.  All lessons are delivered by qualified teachers and experienced beekeepers.


Additional courses/tuition are available on a bespoke basis, including:


Hive manipulation, harvesting a honey crop, swarm collection, swarm control & queen rearing.


I also supply starter nucs of bees ideally tempered for an urban environment, please ask for prices.
